domain.latino is operated by NicNames, Inc. ("NicNames", "we", "us"), an ICANN-Accredited Registrar. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information submitted through this website in connection with our .LATINO domain registration assistance service. NicNames, Inc. is not the .LATINO registry; .LATINO is operated by DISH gTLD Registry.
Information we collect
- Domain availability queries. The label you enter into the search box, used to check live RDAP availability and our premium database.
- Form submissions. Name, company, email, phone, country, trademark details, and any trademark certificate you choose to upload.
- Email verification data. OTP request time, verification status, IP address, user agent, and abuse-prevention metadata used to confirm you control the email address you provide.
- Technical metadata. IP address, user agent, referrer, and UTM parameters captured automatically when you interact with the site.
How we use it
- To evaluate your .LATINO priority registration eligibility and contact you about your request.
- To submit, on your behalf and with your authorization, the relevant information to TMCH, the registrar, and the .LATINO registry.
- To prevent abuse via rate limiting and CAPTCHA verification.
- To improve the service using aggregate analytics (Google Analytics 4 when enabled). Analytics events do not include trademark-certificate contents.
Sharing
We share data only with the registrar, the .LATINO registry, and TMCH service providers strictly necessary to process your request, together with infrastructure providers (e.g. hosting, email delivery) bound by appropriate processing agreements. We use third-party email delivery providers to send verification codes and service messages. We do not sell personal information.
Trademark certificate uploads
Trademark certificates are used only to evaluate and process your request and are not publicly accessible. Access is restricted to authorized NicNames staff and contractors processing your submission.
Retention
Lead submissions and any uploaded trademark certificates are retained for the duration of the registration process and for a reasonable period afterward where required by law, registry policy, or our internal record-keeping. You may request deletion of your record at the address below; certain registration records may be retained where required by registry rules.
Security
We use TLS in transit and restrict access to lead data and uploaded certificates to authorized staff and contractors. Uploaded certificates are not publicly accessible.
Your rights
To access, correct, export, or delete your data, contact support@nicnames.com. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection law (e.g. GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA).
Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
